Floating Rope for Gill Nets & Trammel Nets

Delta Net & Twine Float Rope provides consistent buoyancy along the top of fishing nets without requiring individual floats in many applications. Designed primarily for gill nets and trammel nets, this specialty rope combines a buoyant foam core with a strong braided outer jacket.

The continuous flotation helps keep the top of the net properly positioned in the water while providing a clean, streamlined net design.

Foam Core for Consistent Buoyancy

Float line features a foam center core that provides flotation throughout the entire length of the rope. Unlike individual net floats that create separate points of buoyancy, float line distributes flotation evenly along the top of the net.

This uniform design helps the net maintain proper position and provides consistent performance throughout the fishing operation.

Braided Polypropylene Jacket

A durable braided monofilament polypropylene jacket covers and protects the foam core. The polypropylene construction provides strength while remaining lightweight and flexible for easy net construction and handling.

The finished float line maintains a uniform diameter, making it easier to work with when hanging, building, or repairing commercial fishing nets.

Smooth & Quiet Net Handling

Because float line can replace external floats, gill nets and trammel nets can move more smoothly through fishing equipment and over the side of a boat.

Fewer external floats also help reduce snagging and allow fishermen to retrieve nets more smoothly and quietly. Float line can also work in combination with external floats when additional buoyancy is required.

Buoyancy Rated by the Yard

Float line is rated according to the amount of buoyancy provided per yard of rope. This allows fishermen and net builders to select the proper flotation for the size and design of their fishing net.

For example, 3/8″ diameter float line provides approximately 0.9 oz. of buoyancy per yard.
